Located on beautiful Sone river, the baansagar Dam is
located at the border of Shahdol and Rewa districts of Madhya Pradesh, its
about 52 kms from Rewa. It is a multipurpose river valley project which
includes irrigation and generation of electricity.
The whole area of Deolond which falls under Beohari tehsil
of Shahdol district is quite beautiful owing to the presence of many small
rivulets, forest covering and hills.
I took a motorcycle ride to the dam which is about 20 kms
from the Beohari tehsil headquarter.
I loved the serenity and peace the place offered and the
panoramic view to the setting sun.
The place is almost unexplored which means an unspoiled and
clean place.
If somebody gets a chance to travel through Shahdol-Rewa
highway, Bansagar would be a nice off tracking and relaxing option.
